Description

The sun may shine brighter at Upriver RV Resort, a Florida campground where snow birders flee their wintery state, with some folks making it their forever home.

Sites overlooking the Caloosahatchee River are a magical location and provide easy access by boat to many coastal and island beaches, while those further back feature level, concrete pads with manicured grass and palm trees either side. Modern connections to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer offer the finer comforts of home. Wi-fi lets you stay in touch with family and friends at the camp clubroom. All this and so much more for an all-inclusive daily rate of $35 to $85 (depending on the site you book).

The resort caters to folks in their golden years looking to retire in an RV village atmosphere where stories can be shared and lasting friendships made. Road trippers who love the water will be drawn to the river setting and always ready for a day out fishing. Restrooms, showers, and a laundry facility are immaculate, while a communal barbeque area allows cooking outdoors. This is an enchanted lifestyle for senior RVers who are ready to start life’s next adventure and considering the modern homes on offer as a permanent place to live.

Life’s an everyday happening at this motivated resort, where the residents can work out in the gym or play bocce ball, horseshoes, tennis, golf, or do aerobics. When the sun sets, it's time to set off in the boat to a restaurant with friends or be crowned the next resort superstar on karaoke night.

Feel free to bring your pets, and please keep them on a leash no longer than 6 feet. The preference is for smaller pooches. Pups have their own fully fenced play park for daily exercise. Pet parents must clean up any doggy waste with the litter bags provided.

Hitch a ride on a neighbor’s boat or take the 10-minute drive into Fort Myers, where your woofer can join you at the beach on-leash for a happy stroll along the sandy shore or swim in the ocean. There is plenty for retiring RVers to discover nearby, with nature viewing at Manatee Park. History-loving hounds will go mutts for Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Winter Estates. Fort Myers is buzzing with boutique stores and dining options, making Upriver RV Resort a perfect location for endless, year-round fun.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
