Waters Edge RV Resort

Nestled away in beautiful Punta Gorda, Florida (right between famous beachside cities Fort Myers and Sarasota), the Waters Edge RV Resort is a cozy, clean, and beautiful spot that invites people and their pooches to sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Florida Gulf Coast. This campground was founded in 1982 and is a beautiful 30-acre area that's specifically set aside for all those over 55 years old to enjoy! 

The city of Punta Gorda is beautiful, has been listed as one of the best places to retire, and has plenty of restaurants, shopping, backwater estuaries for fishing. It's also near several Gulf beaches, and is even close to both the Tampa Bay area and the Orlando area if you're looking for more Florida-style entertainment! The campground itself offers over 210 full hookup sites which are available for monthly, daily, seasonal, and long-term rental. Each site offers 30-50 amp electric, paved sites, sewer, water, and even cable TV access! Daily rates start at $45.10 for a site with only water and electric hookups. There's also a lake on-site that offers plenty of recreational activities.

The on-site amenities aren't bad, either! All campers have access to useful extras like laundry facilities, recycling, and a mail center. However, there are also fun extras for everyone to enjoy, too. There's a recreation hall on-site that hosts several planned activities every week for residents and guests, like game nights, holiday dinners, and even a ladies' day! Want to try something a little different? Do a little "jazzercise" with your fellow campers! Dancing not your thing? Hit up the pool, spa, horseshoe pit, or the bocce ball court.

The greatest thing about this awesome retirement destination? You can bring your pup along for the adventure! Though there's no fenced-in, off-leash area for you and your pup to run around sans restraint, you're welcome to bring your doggo out and about with you on walks so long as they remain leashed at all times.
