The campground sits in a pine and hardwood forest beside Hartwell Lake. It is one of eight campgrounds at the lake, which rests on the border of Georgia and South Carolina and boasts 962 miles of shoreline. The lake is a very popular destination for both overnight camping and day use, and you’ll see why when you visit!
Watsadler Campground has 51 sites spread throughout its 36 acres, and all the sites have electric and water hookups. The nightly fee for a single site is $26, and the nightly fee for a double site is $52. Picnic tables, lantern posts, and campfire rings with grills can be found at each site. On the premises, you can also find flush restrooms, showers, a playground, a boat ramp, and a dump station.
Around the campground, there are plenty of activities you can fill your time with. The lake is a great place for boating, fishing, and swimming. You can head to the nearby towns to get a taste of the local culture and history.
