West Rolling Hills is a beautiful campground overlooking Milford Lake in Junction City, Kansas. The campground's 56 sites are suitable for RVs, tents, and trailers positioned on two loops with excellent views. During your stay, you'll have access to a variety of fun recreational facilities and amenities within the campground, and plenty more just a short walk or drive away. Non-electric sites go for only $14 a night, and electric sites range from $20 to $21. Each site can accommodate up to eight people, and furry family members can come along if they're kept on a leash outside of your vehicle.
Each spot at West Rolling Hills comes with a picnic table and a campfire ring, and most sites have electric and water hookups. Paying campers have access to showers and flush toilets. There are some free and more rustic tent-only sites available as well, and those campers have access to vault toilets. Another great feature of the campground is the playground that your two-legged children can enjoy!
Milford Lake is the largest man-made lake in the state with 163 miles of shoreline. The lake is stocked with fish, and there's even a fish-cleaning station nearby for successful anglers. The lake is also used for boating and fishing -- campers have access to the Thunderbird Marina and boat ramp. There are 33,000 acres of public land surrounding the lake, and that land is used for hunting, hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing. About five miles from the campground, you'll find dining and shopping supplies in case you run out of any essentials.
Be sure to inquire about a senior discount if you're of a certain age, and don't hesitate to ask the site host for anything you might need during your stay. Each night, the campground gates are locked from 10 PM to 7 AM, and guests must check out of the West Rolling Hills Campground by 6 PM.
