Whispering Hills Campground is located in Georgetown, Kentucky, where both you and your pooch can get a taste of the Southern outdoors while still experiencing comfort.Â
At Whispering Hills, all dog breeds are welcome to accompany their owners. The only stipulations for guests to follow are regarding leashes and clean up of pet waste. Remember to keep your pup on a leash at all times, especially when traveling through the park. Dogs are not to be tied up to trees, and the only time they're to be inside of the bathhouse facilities is in the event of a storm. Dogs are not permitted in the pool area, but there’s a delightful pond that you can explore together. Excessive barking will not be tolerated.
The most popular activity at the pond is fishing. Though your pup can't cast their own line, they're free to hang with you by the water as you patiently await your catch. There's also a basketball court for you to check out, in addition to a community fire ring which is ideal for extroverts to socialize with other guests. Almost all campsites come with personal fire rings for your convenience and use, along with picnic tables.
Some other perks of the park include modern amenities and services such as hot showers and wireless internet. There's also a playground, DVD rentals, and a book exchange. Propane and laundry are available, too.
Whispering Hills has a number of different ways for you and your pup to stay. All sites come with water, electric, and sewage hookups, but there are different site types including back-in, pull-through, and premium sites. The cheapest sites are the back-in, which begin at $36 per night.Â
Kentucky's Whispering Hills Campground is a pooch-friendly location where you have an authentic opportunity to explore the Southern outdoors. With modern amenities and sites that meet the needs of any camper, Whispering Pines promises a "pawsitive" experience for you and your pup!
