The campground is nestled in a pine tree forest, making it a shady, cozy location for camping in the woods. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, relaxing, playing with your pup, and walking one of the many trails accessible right from the site.Â
The campground is also surrounded by many awesome local attractions such as Granite Mountain Recreation Area, Lynx Lake, and much more. White Spar is open all year long, but the camping is limited in the winter. Peak season runs from April to October every year. RV, trailer, and tent camping is available. At every campsite, you will find a picnic table, steel fire rings, grills, and a tent pad. You will also find vault toilets and dumpsters for throwing your trash away, but fresh drinking water is available during the peak season only. You will not have any showers at this location.Â
People love this campground because it is peaceful, quiet, and not close to any major roads or highways. All of the campsites are quite private, so you do not have to worry about feeling like people are around you all of the time. Dogs are welcome to camp with you as well, but they need to wear a leash at all times. Bring your poop bags so you can pick up your dog's business. Discard the bags into one of the four dumpers onsite - this keeps the grounds clean and sanitary for the other campers! Always make sure your dog has fresh water and a cool and comfortable place to sleep and relax.Â
Overall, White Spur Campground is a perfect site for a quiet, relaxing, and scenic camping trip. We know both you and your dog will not be disappointed with the great hiking trails and place to run and play!
