Camping out in LaGrange, Georgia is a great way to experience the state’s awesome outdoors scene, and one of the best campgrounds in the area is Whitetail Ridge Campground. The campground is situated on the west shore of West Point Lake, a setting that affords campers an amazing waterfront camping opportunity. The campground’s features have made it a favorite of campers from all over the country, and you’re sure to enjoy every second you spend there. And what better way to enjoy camping than with the company of your dog? That won’t be a problem at Whitetail Ridge, since the campground is pet-friendly!

Whitetail Ridge has 58 sites campers can choose from, and all of these sites are equipped with electric and water hookups. The nightly fee for a 30-amp site is $24; the fee for a 50-amp site is $28; and the fee for a double 30-amp site is $48. You can find showers, a dump station, and laundry facilities at the campground as well. Georgia summers can be hot, but you won’t have to worry about getting too much direct sunlight because the campground is well-shaded by the surrounding forest.

You should definitely check out some of the outdoor activities and points of interest around Whitetail Ridge. West Point Lake is nearly 26,000 acres, and it is located near both the Chattahoochee River and the Alabama-Georgia state line. The area has, unsurprisingly, great boating, fishing, and swimming opportunities. You can also find plenty of trails for hiking and wildlife viewing. You might want to stop by the nearby towns and cities to check out their great restaurants and shops.

Throughout your stay at Whitetail Ridge Campground, please be mindful of its rules. Remember to clean up after your dog, and make sure your dog is leashed at all times. Also note that there is a limit of four vehicles at each campsite.
