Description

Winter Island Park is a beautiful place to camp in Salem, Massachusetts and it sits on 27 acres of Salem Habor's scenic waterfront. There are 22 tent-only sites and 28 RV sites, with plenty of convenient amenities and activities nearby. Whether you're camping in a tent or RV, you'll find that your site has lots of space, shade, and privacy. Your pooch can come to Winter Island Park too, but Salem's strict leash laws must be followed at the campground. Pets cannot be left unattended in vehicles, and guests must clean up after their dogs.

RV sites come with either 30 or 50 amp electric and water hookups and range from $37 to $47 per night. Some sites face the waterfront, so be sure to request one of those if that's what you'd like. Tent sites have grills and tables and can be rented for $35 per night. There's also a free bathhouse with flush toilets and hot showers for all campers to use, as well as an igloo for group camping. If you happen to need anything during your stay, there's a store at the campground that sells snacks, toiletries, and memorabilia.

You'll never run out of things to do at the Winter Island Park Campground, as there are plenty of fun activities for campers of all ages to enjoy. There's a playground on-site, a boat ramp, and a public beach, although dogs are not allowed on the beach. If you're planning to have a beach day with your whole group, there's a kennel within ten miles of the campground. Campers and Salem residents alike can also swim, boat, or fish in the water surrounding the campground. When you're not busy exploring the campground, you can visit one of several museums and historic sites in Salem, or taking a walking tour of the historic town with your doggo.

Last-minute campers can make a reservation as soon as the day of their visit, or up to six months in advance. In addition to your camping fee, non-residents of Salem will be required to pay a $20 fee for parking overnight, and residents will have to pay $5.

You and your pooch are sure to have all sorts of fun adventures at this furrific campground!
