Yonah Mountain Campground is a popular, public campground located at the foot of the Yonah Mountain in Cleveland, Georgia. This wonderful, nature-based campground offers tent and RV sites for families and groups of up to six people per site. The campground is child and dog-friendly, making it the perfect place for a weekend away with the family filled with outdoor activities and a relaxing time in a peaceful, nature-filled setting.Â
This well-maintained campground is highly rated for a multitude of reasons. It is both conveniently located and easily accessible, and it features everything you would want in a campground and so much more. All tent and RV campsite are spacious and well-shaded. The campground offers standard or pull-through sites with full hookups for RVs, which include electricity (30 or 50 amp), water, and sewer, and tent sites with water and electricity or lawn sites without. The fees start at $28 per site and go up to $42 per site, with extra fees for additional persons, air conditioning and electric golf carts.Â
In addition to the above, the campground is equipped with a clean and well-maintained bathhouse equipped with flushing toilets and hot showers, and a laundry facility. It also features a clubhouse equipped with wifi, a swimming pool, a picnic pavilion, and a playground. The on-site office and grocery store are stocked with everything from different beverages and ice to fishing supplies and firewood.Â
The hosts are said to be accommodating and very helpful. They are also available on site 24/7 and always make sure the patrons are having a great time by scheduling different activities throughout the day. From concerts to sports tournaments and crafts, your kids will remain entertained during their visit. On top of that, there are numerous attractions nearby that are worth visiting; these include the Alpine Village of Helen, the Chattahoochee National Forest and river, the Smithgall Woods State Park, and Anna Ruby Falls. From fishing, hiking and horseback riding – the campground’s location provides easy access to a variety of outdoor activities too.Â
The campground is grassy and provides plenty of space for dogs to get walked on-leash; please make sure to clean up after your fur-ball both at the campground and on the nature trails.Â
