Aala Dog Park

When it comes to blowing off steam, Chinatown Honolulu's four-legged residents don't need to look very far for a space where they can sprint and play without a leash. Aala Dog Park, the city's fifth and newest pooch playground, is conveniently situated near several dog-friendly apartment buildings, making it easy for local puppers to get their daily exercise. With its central location in Aala Park away from bustling traffic, this canine hangout is the pawfect place to let your best friend run off their boundless energy!

Spanning just under 10,000 square feet, Aala Dog Park features two separate areas for large and small doggos. While both sections are completely fenced and double gated for the pups' security, it is still impawtant to keep an eye on your furry charge at all times. Grassy areas offer plenty of room for the dogs to chase after one another, and nearby trees provide ample shade. Since the dog park is new, it is still a work in progress and visitors are asked to be patient as improvements are being made. For now, it is a basic, no-frills facility, so remember to bring your own doggie waste bags and water!

As always, be sure to scoop up whatever Fido puts down and dispose of it in one of the trash cans on-site. Offer your dog some water after they've run a few laps around the park to keep dehydration at bay, and remind them to mind their manners if necessary so that everyone can have a pawsitive experience. Keep your doggo leashed when entering and exiting the park, and only remove their leash once you're inside the holding area. Last but not least, make sure their vaccinations are up to date before you swing by!
