When pups living in the northern part of Akron want to let loose, they head over to this furrific off leash park. Akron Dog Park is operated and maintained by the dog loving folks of BARC (Better Akron Recreation for Canines). Four paws up for people who create dog parks!
When your pooch comes to this park, they have more than
enough room to tear around. Plus, with the double gaited entry and fully fenced
in pawperty, you can take comfort in knowing they will be safely contained
during their visit. A separate section is designated for doggos weighing less
than 30 pounds, so even the smallest of pups will feel welcome.
Once they are inside the park, your pal can dash around
to their heart’s content. The terrain is
a mixture of grass and gravel. If they want to add some variety to their life, have
them try out the agility equipment and doggy play obstacles. Of course, they can
also romp and wrestle with new furry playmates. Since this is a pupular canine
hangout, your pal will always have a friend to play with. Â
Pet parents will be glad to know that there is no entry
or membership fee to this woofderful park. It also has ample parking, and while
your fur baby runs wild, you can sit back and relax on one of the benches. You
will also find some shaded areas that provide relief from the summer sun. Remember
to bring some clean up bags and always pick up after your beloved pet. The park
provides drinking water during the warmer months. But if you come in the winter,
be sure to bring some water from home. No matter what the temperature is
outside, your pup will need a drink after all that playing!
No bones about it, this park will make your dog’s tail
wag!
