Is your pup in the market for a new dog park? Then check out the Hannah More BARC Park. This Baltimore Animal Recreation Center, or BARC, off leash area is a fully fenced doggy play zone where your pal can exercise, socialize, and have a ball!
Located inside Hannah More Park, this dog park has two separate off leash areas for large and small pups. So dogs of all shapes and sizes can play at their own pace. Bigger breeds have 1.5 acres to run around and petite pooches get a .75 acre park. The ground is mostly covered in grass, although some of it has been replaced with patches of mulch. There are baby pools provided in the summer. It is a good idea to bring a towel if your pup is especially fond of the water and can't resist jumping in.
In order for your pooch to have access to the park, you need to register with the local County Parks and Recreation Department and your pup needs to be up to date on their vaccines. Once you have filled out the application, you will receive the code to the gate. Then you are good to go! Remember that the park membership needs to be renewed each year. Don't let your membership lapse, or you will have one sad doggo on your hands.
The park has some seating for pet parents. If you decide to relax while your pup plays, just be sure to keep an eye on them. The BARC Park provides waste bags, so there is no need to bring your own. Do your part to keep the place free of doggy debris by pick up after your pal. Both sections of the park have drinking water for thirsty pups.
No bones about it, your furry friend will go will go mutts over this pawsome park!
