Walks are woofderful, but sometimes your dog just needs to run around off leash. Treat them to an afternoon at Alamogordo Bark Park. You will find this furrific off leash park right across the street from Griggs Field. Your furry friend will absolutely love this place!
Alamogordo Bark Park has plenty of room for running and
tearing around. The ground is mostly covered in grass, which makes it ideal for
playing. There are some dirt patches, so your pup’s paws may get a bit dirty.
At this park, dogs of all shapes and sizes play together, as there is not a small
dog area. So if you have a petite pooch, make sure they are comfortable rubbing
shoulders with their larger peers.
Since this is a pupular park, your fur baby will always have friends to romp around with. They can frolic with their new playmates until they
are all tuckered out! To make things interesting, the park has some agility
equipment. Your pal can try out the seesaw or climb on the large tires. While
your pup is having a ball, you can sit and relax on one of the benches and chat
with other pet parents, but make sure to keep an eye on your beloved
pooch. Or if you prefer to move, there are a few paved pathways you can stroll
along.
The park does have drinking fountains, but it’s always a
good idea to bring some water and a bowl from home. Since there is not much
shade, you pawbably want to avoid the park during the heat of the day. Don’t forget
to pack some clean-up bags and pick up after your pooch. Garbage cans are on
site so you can easily dispose of the doggy debris.Â
A trip to Alamogordo Bark Park will make your pup one
happy hound!
