Inside this greater park area, there is a specific fenced off-leash zone. The fence is broken into two sections; one is for those dogs who are 30 pounds or more and a separate part for small dogs falling under that bar. Both of these sections are relatively large and have benches and seating throughout. Inside the fenced section, there are even shelters to provide shade on sunny days which is lovely as natural shade here is scarce.
Water is available at this park, though bring your dog bowl. Outside of this dog specific section, the greater park has tons of things to do. It makes for a great place to bring the family and the dog and hang out. Picnic tables are available, covered by pavilions with grills nearby.
A skate park is available here, as well as volleyball and basketball courts. Some of the larger facilities located here are the swimming pool and the observatory. The varied activities available here make it a fun place for pretty much everybody. The total area of the park spans 14 acres. Over these 14 acres winds and weaves several walking trails. These trails are paved.
As your canine is welcome at the park, these trails would make for an excellent place to go for a run with your canine on a leash, as they have water and dog bags available in abundance. It would arguably not be enough mileage, though running some of the trails a couple of times would undoubtedly wear out you and your canine friend.
