If you are looking for a beach party, Bear Lake State Park is the place for you and your canine. With over 48 miles of land to explore, you'll most certainly find something to enjoy here. Bear Lake itself is famous for its aqua-blue waters, which are due to the waters being rich in calcium.
Make sure to stop by the Bear Lake Fun Time concession stand, which offers a ton of different items as well as licensing services and other miscellaneous vacation needs. This office also houses the canoe and kayak rental, but make sure to get there early as they tend to clear out quickly. Keep in mind that dogs are prohibited from any indoor structures.
For overnight parkgoers, Bear Lake has a variety of different amenities for you to enjoy. On the north end of the park, you can find The State Marina, which hosts 24-hour fishing service for those hardcore overnighters in addition to seven cabins. These cabins are fully furnished, and available for long-term rental only.
More to the south, there's Rendezvous Beach which hosts lake sightseeing, tour parties, and overnight campers via their beachfront camping sites. These multi-use sites are primarily run by third-party businesses with oversight from the State. This means that dog rules vary from site to site.Â
If you are curious if your canine can accompany you, make sure to call your planned sites ahead of time. The undeveloped portions of the shoreline are free for public camping, provided you clean up after your party. Canines are allowed but must remain on the leash at all times.
If you are looking to get out on the water, Bear Lake Fun Time also hosts bost rental in addition to their boat tours. All boat rentals require a licensed individual on hand at all times. Canines are strictly prohibited on rental boats.
