It is open year-round for day use as well as camping, but limited facilities will be available during the fall and winter months. You will also be able to bring your dog to this park during your time here, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash.
During your stay, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the Montana area. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the Black Sandy State Park, and female dogs in heat and young pooches under four months old need to stay back at home. Dogs need to be well-mannered before they enter the park as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior.
Dog owners must clean up and watch over their dogs during their time here. If you wish to camp at this park, you must have a reservation.
