This park features large and small dog areas, equipped with both drinking and splashing water, hillocks for getting up some speed and optimizing the play area, and lots of lost tennis balls from the court next door. Street parking is generally ample, and the park is clean and well-maintained. Waste bags are provided, so be sure to remember to bag and remove Fido's "leavings." With lots of seating and a wide cement walkway that curves throughout the park, the humans' needs are met also. Man-made shade structures, as well as trees both surrounding and within the park, provide welcome respite from the hot California sun, and the central stream that meanders through the park can be refreshing for both dogs and their people.Â
While the view is not furtastic, the cliff face that the perimeter follows on one side, with Bluff Creek on the other, make spending some time here relaxing and as peaceful as a yard full of playing doggos can be! The pet turf surface doesn't muddy up the dogs and can be cleaned of dog debris easily, reducing the number of land mines to worry about stepping in. Even wood chips found at other dog parks can become dirty and make the puppers grimy after a day of play!
Bluff Creek Dog Park may not be the Canine Nirvana, but it comes pretty close for folks and dogs who yearn for a clean, fun place to play. Fido is sure to give it a mighty thumbs up, and you will too!
