Bowie Dog Park (at Northview Enfield Chase Park)

The Bowie Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Northview Enfield Chase Park in Bowie, Maryland. In addition to the dog park, the North Enfield Chase Park features a sports field, tennis courts, playgrounds, and plenty of parking. Though there are no fees to enter the dog park, all dogs must have their current rabies tag and pet license during their visit. 

The one-acre Bowie Dog Park at Northview Enfield Chase Park is highly rated in the area due to its convenient location, layout, and cleanliness. It is securely fenced and double gated which helps reduce the risk of canines slipping out as others enter the park. The dog park's layout is made up of two separate areas for dogs to roam around in without a leash. 

The main area of the Bowie Dog Park is meant for large dog breeds while the other section accommodates smaller dogs, as well as timid or senior ones. Though the small dog area is not as popular as the large dog run, both provide enough room for dogs to stretch their legs and explore leash free. 

Plus, there are plenty of tennis balls laying around for those canines that love chasing after them with their four-legged friends. The park's surface consists of grass, mulch and dirt which means having a towel in your car is a good idea in case play time gets messy. The dog park is lined with large, mature trees that provide an ample amount of shade. 

It is an excellent location for canine socialization and playtime as the park is quite popular during the week and the park’s regular four-legged patrons are said to be very well behaved with accommodating owners. Plus, there is plenty of parking. Even on the busier days when there is a variety of different breeds running around, the spacious parking lot by the dog park always has a free spot to park in.
