If your pooch needs to get the wiggles out, bring them to the Broadneck Dog Park for an afternoon of unfettered fun! Tucked in the southeast corner of Broadneck Park, this puppy playground is a pawtastic spot for Annapolis doggos to stretch their legs and meet new friends. Visitors praise the facility for being well-maintained, so it just might become one of your favorite places on the peninsula as well!
The Broadneck Dog Park consists of two separate areas for large and small canines, allowing petite pooches to play freely without having to worry about getting jostled by the big guys. Both sections are fully fenced and double gated to make sure that everyone, including escape artists, stay inside. Even so, it's impawtant to actively supervise your pup at all times, whether they're sniffing the grass by themselves or sprinting alongside their furry pals.
Remember to help keep the dog park clean by scooping up whatever Fido puts down. While waste bags are provided, they sometimes run out, so always carry a few in your pockets. Other park amenities include picnic tables, chairs, tennis balls, fresh water, and buckets. You'll have to bring your own water during the cold months when the pump is turned off, however.
If your four-legged friend still has energy to spare after playing in the dog park, take them for a leashed stroll around the rest of Broadneck Park, which contains ruffly 1.5 miles of paved trails. The trails will take you and Fido past the athletic fields, picnic area, and children's playground. For an even longer walk, continue on to the Broadneck Peninsula Trail located just outside the park. This paved path runs 1.15 miles from Green Holly Drive to College Parkway East.
When it comes to leash-free exercise and socialization on the Broadneck Peninsula, you can't go wrong with the Broadneck Dog Park!
