Kenosha County is in the beautiful state of Wisconsin and prides itself on its eco-friendliness and efforts to keep its parks clean and available to all. The Carlisle Family Dog Park at Petrifying Springs Park, Area 1 strives to maintain and improve the dog park, and thus there is a small fee to help it sustain itself. The daily fee is $2 for Kenosha County residents and $5 for non-residents.
You can pay at the dog park through its collection box located at the entrance with the envelopes provided. You need to keep a tear-off tab from the envelope while within the park and can also purchase yearly dog tags that must be visible on their collar. This must remain visible on your dog the whole time you are visiting the Carlisle Family Dog Park at the Petrifying Springs Park, Area 1.
If you visit the park frequently, you can also purchase an annual pass! There is a $20 fee for residents and $25 for non-residents who travel there often and would like to be able to come and go as they please. This park was founded in 2010 and offers an agility course and a small/large dog area which allows your dog to exercise, learn obedience, and not be frightened of dogs who may be significantly larger than they are.
It also gives your pup the opportunity to mingle and get tuckered out which is great for high energy dogs, and ones who may need to work on their social skills. Since the park is open later in the evening, it features lights for your safety as well as your furry friend’s safety, which means your dog can roam freely on their leash and you can still spy on them, so they don’t get into too much trouble.
The beauty of the Carlisle Family Dog Park at Petrifying Springs Park, Area 1 lies within the green grass, activities available, walking trails and sidewalks, and tidiness. Be cautious of the mulch, and respectfully pick up after your four-footed fur buddy to maintain the serenity of the area. You can enjoy nature and let your dog get out and exercise while learning new social skills.
