Need a new place to walk your pooch? Look no further! Clip on your pup’s leash and head over to Central Park in Atlanta for some furrific doggy cardio. Situated in the Fourth Ward West neighborhood, this pawsome park is great place to spend some quality time with your four legged friend.Â
This 17 acre park is a staple in the surrounding community. Throughout the year, it hosts various festivals, some lasting a few days. Fitness classes and movie nights are also held in the park. It’s impawtant to note that pets are not allowed in the park during most festivals, so it’s a good idea to check the calendar to know what events are happening.
As far as amenities go, Atlanta’s Central Park has
everything you need for some fun in the sun. Two legged park patrons can make
use of the basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball field, or the
multipurpose field. There’s also a playground for little tykes and an indoor
recreation center.
While all of these park perks are furrific, your furry BFF will be more interested in the walking paths. Take a few laps around the park so your pup can get their heart rate going. They’ll love being by your side and taking in all the new sights and smells. Walkways pass all the major fields and areas of the park, so while they are exercising, your doggo can see everything that’s going on. If there are no games in play, feel free to wander around the fields. Let your pal’s nose be the guide as you mosey across the grass. The pawperty also has plenty of trees for your pup to sniff. Before leaving home, grab a clean up bag or two and some water. Practice proper petiquette by picking up whatever your dog puts down.
Your doggo will agree, an afternoon in Central Park is
time well spent!
