Want to make your pup doggone happy? Then treat them to an afternoon at Cesar Chavez Dog Park! As you can guess by the name, this off leash area is located inside the puptacular Cesar Chavez Park. Here your pup can run around to their heart’s content!
This dog park has separate areas for large and small
doggos, so no matter what size your pooch is, they can enjoy their visit to the
park at their own pace. The surface is mostly grass with a few patches of dirt,
which is pawfect for running around and chasing. Watch your pooch zig and zag
around the open field, or romp and wrestle with a new canine buddy. They’ll
absolutely love checking out the new smells and marking some new territory.
Pet parents can take a seat on one of the benches or at
one of the sheltered tables and watch their fur babies have a ball. Shade trees
are scattered throughout the park, but most of the area is quite exposed. Water
is available for people and their pups. Phoenix residents know that summer days
are just too doggone hot for playing outside, especially for furry creatures. Your
dog will be happy to know the park opens early and closes late, so they can
visit when the sun isn’t overhead.
Once your pup is finished playing in the off leash area,
clip their leash on and take a spin around the main area of the Cesar Chavez
Park. At its center is the lovely Alvord Lake. Follow the pawsome path that circles
the lake so your pupster can cool down from their play session and enjoy some
waterfront scenery. No matter where you go in the park, always have a clean up
bag on hand and ready to go.
No bones about it, this park will make your pup’s tail
wag!
