PETsMART Dog Park (at Washington Park)

Petsmart Dog Park is located within Washington Park in the booming metropolis of Phoenix, Arizona. Considered the best of several dog parks in the Phoenix area, this dedicated dog facility is funded and sponsored by the giant pet retailer Petsmart. Comprised of 2.5 acres of property for dogs and their owners to enjoy, Petsmart Dog Park offers several fenced dog play areas. 

The park management team at Petsmart Dog Park encourages and welcomes off-leash play in the dog runs. With safety in mind, one of the two fenced areas has been designed specifically for use by dogs weighing 25 pounds or less. This particular play area would also be suitable for shy or elderly dogs looking for less exuberant socialization and play time. 

Visitors to Petsmart Dog Park remark favorably on its pristine cleanliness and on-site amenities which include several water fountains, poop bags, and bathrooms at nearby Washington Park. Also situated throughout the grounds are benches to allow owners a quiet space to relax and unwind. 

Petsmart Dog Park is open to all owners and their dogs free of charge. Washington Park offers many great attractions for families to enjoy. Housed on the property is the Phoenix Tennis Center which boasts of over 25 tennis courts for public use. Looking to get in a little activity during your trip to the park? Washington Park is home to many soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and sand volleyball courts. 

If swimming is more your thing, an outdoor pool is currently under construction and will soon be available for public use. Dogs visiting this park space must remain on a lead when not in the designated off-leash areas. Petsmart Dog Park has not listed any rules instituted for dogs making use of the park; however, current vaccinations and a city dog license is always a good idea.
