Coral Pink Sand Dune State Park is located 22 miles west of Kanab, along Sand Dunes Road. The entrance fee is $8 per vehicle, or $4 for Utah seniors, and dogs are allowed for no additional fee. This park is popular among off-highway vehicle enthusiasts, so be prepared for some noise pollution. It can be just as enjoyable to take a hike through the shifting sea of sand by foot, or paw. There are no designated trails, but vast areas to explore. Climbing the dunes is sure to give you a workout, but the vistas are worth it! The colors really pop in the evening sun, and you might come across some interesting desert wildlife on your way.Â
Some of the other furtastic features in this park include picnic areas, and a visitor's center. If you'd like to spend the night under the stars with your best pal, look no further! You can head over to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes Campground. The single campsites are $20 per night.Â
Puppers are allowed to explore the whole park with their humans, as long as they stay on a leash no longer than 6 feet and are picked up after at all times. Don't forget the waste bags, and some drinking water for your parched pup. You may also want to bring some eye protection from the sand on a particularly windy day.Â
For an unforgettable day with your furry friend, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park is the place to go!Â
