Some of the local pet stores host some activities at this park, which include groups of vendors attending to bring a diverse amount of exciting toys and attractions to the dog park. This park is a combination of grass and mulch which means your canine will likely leave this park quite clean in comparison to how they would leave a dirt dog park.
That being said, the ground here can still turn quite muddy after some heavy rainfall. The land inside the fenced dog park stays very well maintained and is cleaner than most dog parks. The ark provides poop bags for you to clean up after your canine and the garbage cans here are emptied regularly. There are also trails outside of the fenced dog park that you can take your canine on-leash.
These trails are quite lovely and have a lot more shade than the fenced dog park, but you are required to keep your canine on-leash through these trails. You can find agility equipment inside the fenced section of this park. The fenced section is co-mingled, meaning there is not a separate section for small canines. This could put a little dog at a higher risk of injury while they are playing with the larger canines at this dog park.
The fenced section of the De Pere Dog Park does not have any shade. Along the back side of the park, there are some large trees, but these only provide some shade over the dog park when the sun is low in the sky. Most times of the day you are subjected to the will of the sun. There is a small pond adjacent to this dog park that makes for a beautiful scenic view.
