Description
David A. Lorenz Regional Dog Park is located in Littleton, Colorado. This dedicated dog facility offers two fully fenced enclosures to encourage off-leash dog play. Though the play spaces are divided into two different runs, there is no particular designation as to which dogs can make use of which space. It is likely that visitors to the park use one for small dog play and reserve the other for larger dogs.

Visitors to this dog-friendly facility note that the fencing employed in the enclosures may be low for some dogs. For this reason, dogs lacking a solid recall should remain on lead during playtime in the dog runs. Park officials also request that dogs remain on the lead when traveling to and from the play sections of the park. Though dogs are welcome at David A. Lorenz Regional Dog Park, access to the adjacent family-centric David A. Lorenz Regional Park is restricted to people only.

Access to this public dog facility is free of charge for all dogs and their owners. While fresh drinking water is available on-site via a spigot, some visitors assert that it only works intermittently. With this in mind, owners should bring a bottle of water and a suitable drinking container with them to address Fido's hydration needs while enjoying the park.

Benches are scattered throughout the dog enclosures to provide a spot for owners to rest and relax while enjoying their dogs at play. There are also picnic areas on the premises for those wishing to enjoy a snack or light lunch. It is unknown if bathrooms are located directly within immediate reach of the dog park; however, there are public restroom facilities at the nearby David A. Lorenz Regional Park.

Visitors issue the caveat that the play areas are quite muddy immediately following bouts of inclement weather. Owners should be prepared with towels to help remove excess dirt and debris from their dog before allowing him back in their vehicle. Otherwise, you may want to keep a crate in the car for cleaner transport.

It is unknown if poop bags are provided on-site; however, it is required that all owners pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste. It is also recommended that all dogs visiting the park be current on vaccinations and bear the appropriate required state license tag. For a memorable afternoon of activity and fun, make a trip to David A. Lorenz Regional Dog Park!
