Delaware City Dog Park is a puppy playground that offers a huge space for doggy romping and fetching. Even the fastest Greyhound will get a workout in this fully-fenced, wide-open park. Dotted with trees and shrubs for shade, the lush grass is the star – pawrfect for rolling around or just chilling between wrestling matches. While only a short distance from busy Sunbury Road stores, this puppy paradise can be found set away from traffic via quiet Mill Run Crossing.

The 5-acre park is divided into two large play areas including one for small or shy doggos. Each section has its own water fountain and waste bag station. The fountains sit on a patch of gravel, so no muddy paws! The secure double-gated entry is located a few steps from the ample parking lot. 

Does your pupster live for games of fetch, or are they more a group-play type? Do they love to run, or is thoroughly sniffing the vast terrain their idea of fun? Whatever you and your fur baby have in mind, chances are good this canine heaven will have it. It’s a furbulous place for dog and human socializing, and children are welcome, although kids under 12 may want to stay outside the fence to avoid getting run over by a pack of puppers or a Great Dane.

This pawesome park requires that your pooch be vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, parvo, and distemper, and they must have a current license. They should be off-leash inside the play space, and leashed for entering, exiting, and walking to and from the parking area. To avoid tussles, dog treats and human food are not allowed. Pet parents are responsible for monitoring and curbing aggressive behavior, and as always, be sure to pick up your canine’s waste promptly.
