The Desert Vista Neighborhood Dog Park is a public dog park located in the Desert Vista Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona. In addition to the dog park, the Desert Vista Park features a skate park, soccer fields, walking tracks, public restrooms and picnic shelters.
The three-acre Desert Vista Dog Park has a rectangular, open space layout that is well-thought-out and consists of two areas. The active, main area of the dog park is over two acres in size and provides plenty of space for canines to run, play, and stretch their legs. It has four shade structures, two human drinking fountains, and two water fountains for dogs.
The separate small dog area is located within the large dog run. It is approximately an acre in size, which gives the smaller dog breeds enough room to get a good dose of leash-free exercise and fun as well. It is equipped with two shade structures and has a water fountain for dogs, as well as a drinking fountain for their owners.
Both areas are covered in grass and have kiddie pools in the summer for dogs to cool off in, which allows dog owners to relax and not stress about their pooches overheating or staying hydrated. In addition to the above, the dog park offers free waste bag dispensers and has conveniently situated trash cans.
It is very well maintained and clean thanks to the community's effort in keeping this park poop-free by cleaning up after all dogs, not just their own. Try to do the same if you visit this beautiful park or at least make sure to tidy up after your canine companion. What is great about the Desert Vista Neighborhood Dog Park is that it is located directly by parking lots and restrooms that can be found in the operations building in front of the park.
