Dos Escuelas Dog Park is a public, off-leash dog park located in the city of Henderson, Nevada. This tall-fenced park is small enough for you to always have your canine companion in sight but large enough for him to stretch his legs out and roam freely on the grassy field with his furry buddies. It is a popular park in the area as it is very well-maintained, stays open till late and remains well-lit in the evening.
The park has nice landscaping and is clean, which is not surprising considering dog waste bag dispensers are always full and the trash cans are conveniently located. The patrons are also very responsible and take care of the facility. The benches are covered and provide plenty of shade, water fountains are available for both owners and their canine companions to enjoy and public restrooms are nearby.
The only downside to this park is that it has a mixed dog section, meaning there is no separation for small and bigger dogs. If your pooch is not too social or afraid of bigger dogs, it might not be the best park to start off with. On the other hand, the park-goers are extremely friendly and most dogs that frequent this park regularly are mellow and well-behaved.
It is a beautiful park, filled with mature trees and blooming bushes in the summer. In addition, it is right by a baseball field, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Needless to say, some tennis balls “accidentally” end up in the dog park which brings even more tail-wagging joy to its four-legged visitors.
What makes this park unique is that it is perfect for dog owners who prefer frequenting dog parks in the evening. It is well-lit, located in a safe area, and there are always other dogs and owners there in the evening.
