This park spans about an acre of land all fenced in. There are separate enclosures for large canines and small breeds to keep smaller dogs in a safe environment, away from the canines many times their size. Water is available at the Eldorado Dog Park in the form of fountains inside each fenced enclosure.Â
The fountain has water dispensed from ground level and waist height so both you and your canine can stay hydrated. The grounds here are some combination of grass and dirt. The grass stays in good shape all year round, well maintained and regularly cut, with just some of the high trafficked areas getting worn down.Â
Where the grass is overly worn, it is dirt and can turn into a mud pool after a heavy rain. The park has several trees. These trees limit games like fetch, but they also provide great canopies of leaves which in turn shade a majority of the park. A single building contains public restrooms at the dog park.Â
These restrooms have running water and are open during daylight hours all year. For those who do not live in the immediate area and walk to the Eldorado Dog Park, there's a parking fee at the lot nearest this dog park. Parking costs $5 Monday through Friday, $7 for weekend parking.Â
Overall, there's a large amount of space at the Eldorado Dog Park, plenty of shade, some seating and a lot of reasons to bring your canine here for some socialization and exercise. There is enough room in this dog park to wear out even the most energetic of canines.
