Eleanor Dog Park (at Putnam County Park )

The Eleanor Dog Park is located at Putnam County Park. It is a fenced-in area designated for dogs to run off-leash. There is plenty of grass, sidewalks and relaxing scenery for pet parents and dogs to enjoy together. The sidewalk is excellent for exercising while your dog is running around socializing and playing with others. 

As a pet parent, you need to keep a close eye on your dog at all times while visiting the Eleanor Dog Park at Putnam County Park to assure aggressive behavior is not displayed towards others. You need to keep your dog leashed until you enter the dog park area. Then put the leash back on before leaving the fenced-in dog park area. 

Dogs are not welcome anywhere else on the grounds without a leash except for this beautiful designated area. As you walk around the dog area, you will notice dog waste stations that provide poop bags and a trash can. Owners can always bring along your own supply of doggie poop bags just in case the stations at the park run out. 

The Eleanor Dog Park at Putnam County Park is spotless, and pet parents are encouraged to keep it that way. Dogs that visit this park need a collar and tags showing their vaccinations and license. Pet parents are responsible for their dog’s behavior and well being at the park. Aggression is frowned upon, and pet parents need to leash their dog and remove them from the dog park if hostility is shown towards others. 

This is a beautiful dog park that has plenty of room for your dog to run, play and socialize with other dogs. You can also get exercise or choose to rest under a shaded tree. Remember to bring along water and a bowl for your dog as well as a bottle of water for yourself, especially on hot days. Overall, this is an excellent park that you can visit frequently and play a great game of fetch with your dog.
