Elings Park Off Leash Dog Area

The Elings Park Off-Leash Dog Area is a place where dogs can be exercised off-leash in Santa Barbara, California. This is more than a standard dog park. In fact, this off-leash area encompasses the entire Elings Park which totals two hundred and thirty acres of beautiful Californian countryside. 

Before dog owners can take their pup to this dog park in Santa Barbara, they need to sign up for a yearly membership. The memberships cost $125 and expire every 31st of December. They are not prorated, so to get full value for money for their expenditure, it's beneficial for owners to sign up as soon after January 1st as possible. 

To issue a new membership, the park office requires owners to produce a Santa Barbara pet license number. Once the paperwork is done, then the owner and their pup are fully fledged members of EPDOG. Various parking lots as well as on the street parking give quick and easy access to the Eling Park facility. 

Owners need to restrain the urge to let their dogs off-leash before they are actually in the park grounds. Once they are inside the park, dogs can roam as freely as they wish as long as their owners can keep up with them. The Elings Park Off-Leash Dog Area office request owners take only the amount of poop bags they need for their visit, so stocks don't become depleted. The park does not receive government funding for maintenance but relies solely on private donations and the dog membership fees to function.
