If you have a petite pooch, they will be glad to know
that this park has a separate area for small dogs. This side of the fence is a
combination of artificial turf and cement. The large dog area is made up of artificial
turf, cement, and some patches of mulch. There’s
plenty of room for romping, wrestling, sniffing, and having a doggone good
time. Your furry friend can socialize and get to know their canine neighbors
while burning off some extra energy.
Both areas of the dog park have drinking fountains, so no
matter what size your pup is, they can quench their thirst. A shade structure provides
relief from the sun. There are also picnic tables and trees for your pooch to
sniff (and mark). For convenience and cleanliness, the park provides clean up
bags and garbage cans. Since the park isn’t very big, it’s super impawtant to
keep it free of doggy debris, so make use of the bags and pick up after your
pooch.
After a pawsome play session in the dog park, clip your
pup’s leash on and explore the main area of Ellsworth Urban Park. It’s only 3.5
acres, so it won’t take too long. Your doggo can cool down and practice their
leash manners at the same time.
