Flag Ponds Nature Park is a big part of Maryland's history. From the 1900's until 1955, this location was a sheltered harbor on the Chesapeake Bay. Your dog is welcome at the park and on the beach as long as you keep your furry friend leashed so they can engage in a game of Frisbee in the waves without bothering anyone.

Visitors can find water bowls in the area where there is running water and they can also rinse off their pooches with a hose. Visitors have to clean up after their pets to keep the environment as clean as possible. Another bonus for the park area is its proximity to the parking lot as well as the ample walking trails looping the property.
