Your pup got the wiggles? If you live in Florence, Arizona, plan a visit to the Central Bark Park. Located right behind the Little League Park near the Dorothy Senior Center, this pupperdise is sure to keep your dog's tail wagging!
Open year round, the Central Bark Park is the pawfect place for Florence pups to mix and mingle with their neighborhood canines. Once you hit the gate, the leash can come off, and your dog can play in three fully fenced in dog runs. A smaller section is reserved for the small or more timid pups to play safely, while a medium sized section is for all pups to romp together. A third area is a bit larger for the more energetic doggos, and features an agility course complete with an exercise ramp, dog bridge with stairs, and an adjustable jump bar. The turf is regularly maintained to give dogs have the best footing to play on. This park even has picnic tables and benches for you to relax while your dog has a blast romping with canine friends. There's plenty of shade, and water fountains for humans and dogs ensure everyone stays hydrated. And with clean-up bags available, its easy to pick up after your pup.
This community loves their furry friends, and the Bark Park holds an annual Pooch Party in February to show just how much. The Pinal County Animal Care and Control is on site for the event to issue licenses and give rabies shots. Events can vary each year, but have included a pooch show where you pup could win longest tail, most unique coat or best trick, a pet adoption featuring dogs looking for furever homes, and a demonstration of the K-9 units from the the Florence Police Department.
