This dog park has a picnic table available with a pavilion overhead for shade. The park is fenced to keep canines that might like to otherwise run off in. The area is decently large, but your canine will remain in sight everywhere inside the fenced area.
They have some obstacles for your canine to play on, including one large plastic tube for them to run through. Seating outside the picnic table is rather limited so you may consider bringing some lawn chairs on days you suspect they will be busy.
Although it has been mentioned many times, the city of Florence states that the dog park is available for use in McLeod Park. Your canine is required to remain on a leash at all times outside the designated off-leash area.
This is not a fenced area and the pond coming up the area is natural and does have wildlife, some of which could be harmful to your canine. If your canine is playing in the water, keep an eye on them and know they do so at your own risk.
The greater area of the park is about 50-acres of traversable land. You and your canine could get a good run or walk on the beautiful trails throughout the park and it makes for a delightful place to spend a portion of your day.
The views throughout the park are gorgeous, and the park is home to a wide variety of activities both hosted by the city and things simply available for you to enjoy at the park. Sports fields, picnic shelters, and many other facilities are located throughout the park, though your canine is not allowed indoors at any of them.
