Description

This dog park has both large and small dog areas, divided by a fence. Each of these areas is then split again into areas used for even months and regions that are used for odd months. The reason for this swap is to give the grass time to recover and grow. This means that the large grassy areas of this park stay green and in good shape, which goes a long way to keeping your dog clean when you come to the dog park.

Every other month, when the Foothills Dog Park in Glendale, Arizona is open on the east side of the fencing, there is an agility course available for both large and small canines. Running water is available inside both fenced dog sections, and there are often toys strewn about for your canine to enjoy.

The Foothills Dog Park is large enough for the most energetic canines to get a good work out in. The park is lit and stays open into the night. Where the fences intersect, there are tall structures that provide shade to all four sections. These pavilions have seating underneath them, and there is other seating throughout the park with less shadow.

There are some trees in the Foothills Dog Park that provide some shade to benches during specific points in the day. Each section is half covered in grass and the other half covered by wood chips and the other half covered in grass. This park is closed for maintenance every Wednesday, all day. This may seem like a lot, but it pays off. This park stays very well maintained, clean and safe.

The greater area of the park has many other attractions. There are basketball courts and softball fields. Playgrounds are available for the children and pavilions with barbeques nearby. The way this park was designed is unique and beautiful. The simple canopies they use to create shelter are still very tasteful and aesthetically pleasing. To enter the Foothills Dog Park, you need to go through the library parking lot.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
