Borne out of a desire for there to be a community gathering place where doggoes could safely enjoy off-leash socialization and play, Freedom Barkway Dog Park came into inception due to the hard work of a large group of likeminded community volunteers. 

Housed on over two acres of property, this pawsome dog play haven offers two fenced enclosures, with one reserved for use by small dogs and the other for larger pupperonis to enjoy. Resting just one mile from downtown Atlanta, this doggone amazing dog playground offers you the opportunity for some dog park fun near shopping and restaurants. Off-leash play is permitted and encouraged at Freedom Barkway Dog Park,. but you'll still need to remember to bring a lead as Fido must remain leashed when travelling to and from your car to the designated off-leash zones. 

Though this park is very new, it is also very pawpular. At this time, no on-site amenities are offered, but future plans include the addition of doggo splash pads and water fountains. You'll need to bring along drinking water and cleanup bags for your day of fun at this pawrific doggy wonderland. Freedom Barkway Dog Park is a dedicated green space, and your assistance is requested in helping to maintain clean and environmentally-furiendly grounds by promptly picking up and disposing of your dog's waste. 

Both seating and shade can be found in abundance at this wooftastic park. Why not bring along a book or snack to enjoy while your pooch has a ball with his best canine pals?
