Gaithersburg pups have a happening place to mix and mingle at the Dog Exercise Area at Green Park. This puptastic dog park has got everything to make your dog's tail wag!
The Dog Exercise Area is a fully fenced in 1 acre space that is separated into two sections. Once you are past the double gated entry, you can take off the leash and let your pup run wild. The upper area is covered in a bluestone dust and gravel, while the lower area is larger and grassy to allow for a softer surface for running and roughhousing. Both enclosures are equipped with benches to allow owners to enjoy a rest while supervising their dogs at play. There's also drinking water available during the warmer months, so if you come during the winter season, be sure to bring your own. Clean-up bag dispensers are also on site, making it easy to promptly pick up after your dog. The larger grassy section also features a pavilion and more trees for shady places to relax.
To enjoy this furtastic pup play space, you'll need to be a city resident, a DEA member, or a guest accompanying a resident or a member. City residents can bring their dogs here free of charge, but their dogs must be licensed with the city. An annual membership for those who live outside the city is available for a $60 yearly fee. In either case, you should have proof of your dog's current rabies vaccination, a current city license and a picture of your dog. Rabies and license tags should be on your dog's collar when entering the dog exercise area.
Your pup will love romping and socializing in this puptastic park, just be sure to limit yourself to 2 dogs per visit. Always keep a leash on hand when inside the off leash area, and keep your dog leashed when entering and exiting the fenced in enclosures. You can also explore the rest of Green Park with your pup on leash, which features trails to wander, play areas for the little humans in your pack, basketball and tennis courts, and more.
For a great time at a great dog park, bring you social pup to the Dog Exercise Area at Green Park!
