Green Valley Ranch East Park is a much-loved outdoor space in Denver, located a little over 15 miles east of the city center. This popular park is home to sporting fields, a swimming pool, plenty of green space, and best of all, a dog park.
Tucked away in the park's northwestern corner, Green Valley Ranch East Dog Park is a pawsome spot for Denver doggos to enjoy some off-leash fun and games. It offers separate play areas for large and small dogs, and there's ample space for your fur-baby to get active and make some new doggy friends.
The entire play area is fully fenced and is surfaced with dirt and a layer of sand. The dog park is open to the elements, so pet parents should be aware that the sand can become very hot on sunny days and may cause discomfort to their pet's paws. There is not much in the way of shade in the pet area, but there is a gazebo with benches where pet parents can sit, relax, and chat. A dog-friendly water fountain has also been installed in the off-leash area, but some visitors report that this fountain isn't always turned on. With this in mind, it's a good idea to BYO water just in case.
With ample vehicle parking available in the main parking lot, it's just a short walk to the dog park. However, remember that all dogs visiting Green Valley Ranch East Dog Park must be up to date with their vaccinations and have a current Denver dog license.
As always, it's essential to clean up after your dog whenever you're in a public space. While clean-up bag dispensers are available at all Denver dog parks, the City of Denver asks all park users to play their part to help keep the dispensers stocked.
