There is some seating in the form of benches near the entrance as well. Water is available here in fountains on both areas of the dog park. These fountains have a bowl at ground level and water dispensing at waist height so you and your canine can stay hydrated. Small pavilions are built overtop some of the benches along the fence line.Â
These small pavilions provide a lot of shade or shelter from the elements while at the Hamilton Dog Park. The grounds here are dirt and grass, the dirt turning into mud after a heavy rain. Your canine may leave this park rather dirty if they like to roll around in the dirt or mud. There is plenty of space for some long-range games like fetch or frisbee provided you keep your throws a bit limited.Â
There's a path that leads from the parking lot to the Hamilton Dog Park and just inside both fenced sections. This is not a members-only dog park; this park welcomes visitors and those passing through this town to give their canines a break from a long road trip. Poop bags are available inside, and this park is not far from the main road.Â
These grounds are well maintained and stay in good shape through the spring and summer months. It is often cut and never gets overgrown. The Hamilton Dog Park makes for a great place to bring a canine with boundless energy to wear themselves out and socialize with other canines from the neighborhood. A perfect place to spend some time in the sun!
