Description
The Happy Valley Dog Park is a popular and convenient reprieve for the canines of the area. It is a mid-sized dog park with a tall fence to keep in canines that would typically run off. The fence separates the area into two sections, one for large canines and another for small breeds, toy dogs, and puppies.

This helps to keep small dogs out of harm's way. Water and public restrooms are available at this park. However, they are in the greater park area, not inside the Happy Valley Dog Park. They are only a short walk away but remember to bring your container to transport the water and a bowl so your canine can stay hydrated while they play.

There is ample seating at this dog park in the form of benches along the fence line. Inside the Happy Valley Dog Park, there are very few trees that provide shade. However, there are many tall trees just outside the fence line. The trees provide a great deal of shade for the patrons of this dog park.

The few trees that are inside the fenced dog park have bench seating underneath, making them perfectly shaded spots for the human companions. This park is grass and dirt, dirt being in the highly trafficked areas of the Happy Valley Dog Park. The grass stays clean and cut regularly.

Poop bags and garbage cans are readily available at waste stations along the fence line of this dog park. For a city dog park, the Happy Valley Dog Park has quite a bit of space. Games like fetch and frisbee are possible here, and it makes for a good place to wear out a highly energetic canine.

The park is fairly popular, and you are likely to see other dog owners there, making it great for socialization as well. Overall, on a nice day, there are few places in the area that have more to offer you and your four-legged friend. There is no membership required. However, the city does require you have proof of vaccination on their collar.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
