The Homme Adams Park Off-Leash Dog Area is home to 27-acres of land for your furry friend to explore and enjoy. Located in Pal Desert California means there is lots of sunshine to relish, and with there being no operating hours, you can enjoy the sunset and evening as well.Â
The best time to go is when the temperature is under 90°F as the sand can be quite hot for the puppy paws. There is nothing to dislike about this magical place; it offers lots of room for play, and an abundance of exercise opportunity. The sunshine pours warmth to the whole area, which makes it a great spot to sunbathe and play games like fetch.Â
Be sure to use the bathroom before going to the Homme Adams Park Off-Leash Dog Area as the only washrooms available are for your pup pals. There are several trails to conquer, picnic areas if you want to be romantic, and no fence—so make sure if you are letting your pup off their leash that they know where to find you.Â
If you and your furry four-footed friend are planning on hiking on any of the trails, your pup will have to be on leash for the entirety of your hike—which is about an hour, but the base of the hike has an off-leash area to utilize. This will not only prevent your dog from beating you in your hike-off, but also from disturbing any critters that might call the trail home.Â
If you get thirsty while at the Homme Adams Park Off-Leash Dog Area, there is drinking water on the Homme Adams side of the hike, so make sure you have a water bottle packed for you and your dog pal if you do not plan on entering that side. It is a very peaceful and beautiful area to hike with a lovely view from the mountaintop overlooking the Coachella Valley.Â
