The Jaycee Dog Park is just one of many community amenities inside the larger Jaycee Park, but caters to the canine kind. This small, fully fenced in area offers a double-gated entry for safety and a rectangular tract of land to roam, and is the pawfect spot to bring your pup for an off leash romp.Â
The dog park can be a bit hard to find, but look behind the basketball courts next to the building labeled 'A' and you are there! with just one open section, the park lacks a small dog area, so little puppers should be comfortable around bigger doggos. With a dirt and gravel terrain, there's also a bit of cement curbing buried in. On hot days, the area can get a bit dusty, and maybe a little muddy during wet weather, so its always a good idea to have a towel in your car for a quick wipe off.Â
Benches are great spots to relax while your pup plays, and shady trees help keep it cool. Water fountains for people and pups help everyone stay hydrated and beat that Arizona heat! Clean-up bags and trash cans are on site to make it easy to pick up whatever your dog leaves behind, and human restrooms can be found nearby outside the dog park.
And after playing at the park, clip the leash back on and explore the rest of Jaycee Park. You'll find walking paths, basketball courts, playgrounds, grills, a volleyball court, a splash pad and more. Just be aware that dogs are not allowed in all areas, such as the splash pad, so keep an eye on signs.Â
For a furbulus spot to get out the wiggles off leash, the Jaycee Dog Park is a cozy little fun park that's pugariffic.
