K-9 Korral Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Harlinsdale Farm Park in Franklin, Tennessee. The 200-acre public park is set in a beautiful, pasture-filled location on a historic horse farm and features playgrounds, sports fields, a sports arena and a variety of walking, biking and hiking trails.Â
The K-9 Korral Dog Park can be found at the north entrance to the farm. It is a very popular dog park in the area due to its size, layout and featured amenities. It offers four acres of grassy lawn for dogs to play on and explore. It is divided into three separate securely fenced areas.Â
The K-9 Korral Dog Park has a spacious double-gated entry holding area which helps minimize the risk of any canines escaping as other enter the off-leash areas and enables owners to be comfortable unleash their pooches. The holding area features trash cans and hooks that you can temporarily use to hang your things while you unleash your dog.Â
The dog park is equipped with picnic tables and benches for owners to relax on, most of which can be found by the entrance. A water fountain is available too and helps keep the four-legged patrons happy and hydrated throughout their visit. Trash cans can be found throughout the park, and their strategic location makes it easier for dog owners to clean up after their pooches and dispose of plastic bags.Â
Free waste bag dispensers are located nearly in every corner of the dog park and are always filled, which explains why this park is so well maintained and poop-free. The dog park’s surface consists of grass, though there are several patches that get muddy when it rains so watch your step and make sure to pack a towel for your dog’s paws.Â
There are tennis balls scattered throughout the off-leash areas which are great for playtime but dangerous if your dog is a chewer. Despite the above amenities, the dog park is never crowded so if you are looking for a peaceful place where you can schedule playdates or your pooch can exercise off-leash - this is it!
