The park does have some seating provided for you to relax and watch Fido play. On one side of the park, there is a small group of trees. These trees have a high canopy and provide a good deal of shade to those under them, but the rest of the park has no cover and is subject to the will of the sun.
There is a fence surrounding the park, so even those canines that like to try and run off won't get far. The fenced area is rather large, but regardless of where you are standing your canine could not possibly leave your sight or get out of range of voice control.
Although several of the amenities you might expect are available, like dog bags and a right amount of garbage cans, there are a few things that are missing. There is water at this park, but be sure to bring your dog bowl. Some may be available for you, but those can often be quite busy. The water spout is also not at drinking water height for a human, so bring your water bottle so you can stay hydrated yourself.
The seating also comes in the form of a single bench. If you like to sit and play fetch with your canine, it may be best to bring your folding chair to do so as the seating is quite limited. Otherwise, there are restrooms for you to use, and the adjacent park has plenty of sports fields, a pavilion, and tons of activities for everyone in the family.
