The park is open year-round, sunrise to sunset. The office is only open during specific hours and the beach, overnight areas, and other areas are subject to seasonal closures. The park offers a number of environmental education programs from March through October to help visitors to better understand and appreciate natural and cultural resources. Those programs include guided hikes, hands-on activities, and other informational programs.
Pets are permitted in Keystone State Park in the day-use areas, campgrounds, and specially-designated cabins, cottages, and yurts, as well as all other areas not closed to pets. Additionally, dogs must remain leashed and physically under control at all times, which may include in crates or cages.
