Kiser Lake State Park is a tranquil lakeside park retreat in St. Paris, Ohio. This much-beloved family attraction boasts of 531 acres of naturally forested hills and a 396-acre lake of pristine clarity and cleanliness. Many families flock to Kiser Lake State Park to enjoy a relaxing getaway in this idyllic rural setting. On-site camping facilities include 10 sites with power hookups, 66 basic campsites, 3 larger group facilities suitable for youth groups or family reunions, and several cabins. Also available for rent are 3 shelter houses. Camp accommodations are furnished with picnic style seating and fire pits. There are also bathrooms and stations for RV waste removal on the premises.

Kiser Lake State Park has many recreational activities for the entire family to enjoy. Among its most popular attractions are sailing, fishing, hunting, and swimming. There are also five different hiking trails varying in levels of difficulty for Fido and family to explore. This park is open year round and also offers winter recreational activities for those who enjoy outdoor sports in the snow. Refreshments are available seasonally near the beach area.

The wetlands of Kiser Lake are a natural wonder to behold. The result of two glaciers which formed depressions then later melted leaving large crater-like indentations behind, these areas of the park are filled with unusual flora and fauna that fill true nature lovers with delight.

While pets are permitted at Kiser Lake State Park, they are not permitted in rental camping facilities such as cabins or yurts. Pets are also required to remain on a lead at all times on the property, and park officials mandate no more than two pets per campsite. Poop bags are not provided on site though it is required that all owners properly pick up and dispose of all canine waste materials. It is unknown if water is available for public use. For this reason, all dog owners should bring bottled water and appropriate drinking vessel with them.

Access to the park is fee-based for all who are seeking overnight accommodations. It is unknown if there is any fee charged for a day's exploration of this facility. Though no official regulations are posted regarding park use, it is wise for all dogs to be current on vaccinations. It is also recommended that dogs bear the appropriate state license tag.
