Lakeside Dog Park (west Lake Winnebago)

Lakeside Dog Park is located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Housed within the family-friendly Lakeside Park, this doggy play haven offers two fully fenced areas where dogs can enjoy running, romping, and roughhousing all without the need for lead. Though many dog parks provide a separate enclosure to benefit dogs who are small, elderly, or timid, it is unknown if such a space exists at Lakeside Dog Park. 

However, all dogs are invited to engage in off-leash exercise and socialization in the on-site dog run. With the utmost of safety precautions in mind, owners are required to carry a lead with them. You can bring your dog to Lakeside Park, but they must remain on a leash no more than six feet long. 

The Lakeside Dog Park is a public dog recreational area, and the management team proudly permits entrance to the grounds at no cost to people and their pooches. Little is known about what is housed within the dog runs. Water is not available on the grounds. For this reason, owners should come prepared with a bottle of water and a dog dish from home. It is unknown if poop bags are available on the premises. 

However, since the onus for all pet cleanup falls on the owners, it is wise to bring a few extra bags to the dog park to assist with this task. Bathrooms are available for public use. Nearby Lakeside Park sits on 400 acres of property and offers a multitude of recreational activities sure to please every member of the family. 

Among the many outdoor activities are a walkup lighthouse, picnic areas, and shelters, playgrounds, a zip line, a petting zoo. ball diamonds, a marina, boat rides and ramps for launching boats, fishing, and kayak and paddle boat rentals. The park is also home to numerous fountains and concession stands. 

For those looking to indulge a little nostalgia, there is also a miniature train and antique carousel on the grounds. Lakeside Dog Park has placed no expectations upon visitors to their dog playground. However, to protect against the spread of disease, vaccinations are always an excellent idea. A city dog license is also suggested.
