Lakewood Dog Park

Lakewood Dog Park, a dedicated dog facility which runs adjacent to Metropark's Rocky River Reservation, is located in Lakewood, Ohio. This gravel-lined dog playground is home to two fenced areas. Here, dogs can enjoy romping, roughhousing, and wrestling, all without the need for a leash. 

Since small, shy, and senior dogs often benefit from a space to call their own, Lakewood Dog Park has designed an enclosure just for their use. Visitors to this dog play haven do note that the small dog area is not very large; however, it provides ample space for some off-leash activity. To ensure the safety of all dogs, owners are required to keep a leash with them at all times. 

Lakewood Dog Park is a public dog playground, and access to its grounds is free of charge. However, donations are gratefully accepted with all monies going towards ongoing park maintenance and projected improvements. The dog runs themselves are equipped with a water supply, water bowls, and small pools where dogs can cool off on a hot summer's day. 

Additionally, benches are installed in various areas of the runs. Here, owners can relax and enjoy watching their dogs having fun with their best canine pals. There are no bathrooms housed on the property, and the one consistent lament of owners regarding personal amenities is the lack of shade. 

Visitors to Lakewood Dog Park who enjoy hiking should be certain to explore Metropark's Rocky River Reservation trails. Both breathtaking and picturesque, these trails offer dogs and their owners a great workout and the opportunity to feel refreshed and revitalized. 

Lakewood Dog Park has instituted a few rules for those making use of their dog playground. It is mandatory for all dogs to be vaccinated and licensed with their respective city. Identification tags as well as tags which show proof of vaccinations and city dog license must be visible on your dog's collar at all times.
