This park is grass and stays very well maintained. The grass is cut regularly and there are no spots where the ground gets too worn down and kills the grass. The poop bags are regularly stocked and the garbage cans are emptied often. This park also has running water in the form of a water hose at the entrance to the dog park.
Remember to bring your own bowl, but you and your canine should be able to stay pretty hydrated while you enjoy the sun. This water is only available during the spring and summer months and to prevent the lines from freezing is turned off in late fall for the winter months.
The Marne Creek West Dog Park also has several pieces of agility equipment for canines that enjoy obstacles. This park is fairly large and certainly has enough space for some games like fetch or frisbee. Outside of the dog park, this park has a lot of attractions for the whole family.
It spans roughly 14 acres of space and hosts everything from playgrounds to community gardens. The dog park comes out to about five of these acres, making it a substantial portion of the space at this park. There are many trees here, some even inside the fenced portion of the dog park.
These trees are fairly large and provide some shade to those underneath it; but, a majority of the dog park is unshaded and you are subjected to the will of the sun. There are several walking trails outside the fenced section, some even go over the creek nearby over a beautiful stone bridge. Anytime your canine is outside the fenced dog park they are required to be on a leash.
